The MAX4506ESA+ is a fault protected, high voltage signal line protector in 8 pin NSOIC package. This multiple, two terminal signal line protector is pin-compatible with industry standard, this new circuit protector feature fault protected inputs & rail to rail signal handling capability. Input pins are protected from overvoltage faults up to ±36V with power on or ±40V with power off. During a fault condition input terminal becomes an open circuit and only nanoamperes of leakage current flow from source but switch output (OUT_) furnishes typically 19mA from appropriate polarity supply to load. This ensures unambiguous rail to rail outputs when a fault begins & ends. It contains three independent protectors, can protect both unipolar & bipolar analogue signals using either unipolar (+9V to +36V) or bipolar (±8V to ±18V) power supplies.
