The MAX2090ETP+ is a 50MHz to 1000MHz analogue VGA with threshold alarm circuit and error amplifier for level control in 20 pin TQFN package. This high linearity analogue variable gain amplifier (VGA) is a monolithic SiGe BiCMOS attenuator, amplifier, error amplifier and alarm circuit designed to interface with 50ohm systems operating in 50MHz to 1000MHz frequency range. An external analogue control voltage controls analogue attenuator. The device has gain range of -10.9dB to +26.1dB, noise figure of 4dB, OIP3 linearity of +38dBm and wide RF bandwidth. Each of these features makes the device an ideal VGA for numerous receiver and transmitter applications. In addition, the device operates from single 5V supply. The MAX2090 is used in point to point receivers and transmitters, RF/IF variable gain stages, temperature compensation circuits, cellular applications, WiMAX applications, LTE applications, fixed broadband wireless access and wireless local loop.
